I would say that TF 1.5 is very old and a lot of things changed since that version. I think the best version that keep a decent compatibily is TF 1.15 but I recommend that you switch to the latest TF 2. In the past I succeeded moving from TF 1.13 to TF 2.x.

I think it's better that your retrain your model with TF2.
